Fox 31′s Hank Siegel A Blemish On Proud Reputation Of Local Journalism

I like to consider myself a journalist. I cover the Colorado Avalanche because it is the team I enjoy and because they play in the city that I live in. I’m in the midst of my third full season covering the Avs and have yet to receive any financial compensation for the blood, sweat and tears that I put into my work. Still, I do it for the love of the game. I do it for the benefit of the people who read what I have to say. And I do it with my own strict set of journalistic ethics and morals, abiding by what I was taught as right and wrong during journalism classes at the University of Denver – in between Pioneers hockey games – and by what I have learned about morality during my life.

Is It Time For Joe Sacco To Go?

While this may appear as a flip flop to my previous defense of Colorado Avalanche head coach Joe Sacco, I will admit that I struck that position merely to counter the spreading opinion that he may be the real problem in Denver. That said, it is starting to appear like a lot of the trouble that this team is having could be the result of the guy in charge night after night.

Is Brandon Yip Colorado’s Biggest Bust?

Puck Daddy released an article today listing the biggest bust on each team in the NHL. Taking into consideration opinions from writers around the league, the list seems to be a fairly accurate representation except for the fact that Brandon Yip is listed for the Colorado Avalanche.
