Long thought lost in the world of media, buried by a network angry about the lockout and the loss of a partnership with the NHL, ESPN’s reality perspective featuring the Colorado Avalanche, “The Season” has arisen from obscurity.

Thanks to one passionate fan, supporters of the Avalanche now have a chance to relive some of the glory days, captured by the Worldwide Leader in Sports.

From the posting:

The 2003-04 Colorado Avalanche were supposed to win the Stanley Cup after acquiring superstar free agents Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya. Expectations were very high not only in Denver, but also in the Avalanche locker room, but the retiement of Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy and lots of injuries to starplayers as Kariya and Peter Forsberg let the team struggle during most parts of the season. This documentation follows the Avs players, coaches and management staff and provides rare behind the scenes looks and exclusive interviews, sights and sounds.

The episode also features the rookie season of former Avs defenseman John-Michael Liles, who pointed that out while discussing the show and the impossibility of locating it anywhere online.

Watch in all its glory:
